What is the procedure to get admission for B.Tech. in JEC ? |
The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan / Central Board of secondary Education (CBSE). The combination of subjects are as follows: Passed 10+2 / 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology /technical Vocational Subject / Computer Science / Information Technology / Informatics Practices / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies |
Can a candidate who has scored high rank in any other national or state entrance exam get direct admission in JEC? |
Yes, the candidate can be admitted provisionally either in JEE category seats, Management seats or Direct category seats, if the candidates fulfills the norms laid down by Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan / Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. The admission may be confirmed on approval from the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan / Rajasthan Technical University, Kota |
Is JEC affiliated to any Apex body or University for purpose of recognition of degrees? |
Yes, Jaipur Engineering College (JEC) is self financed private engineering college approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. This is a university established by Government of Rajasthan. Since the university is recognized by UGC and Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, the courses offered by Rajasthan Technical University, Kota are recognized everywhere. |
How is B.Tech.Programme designed? |
Choice Based credit system with continuous evaluation is followed in semester pattern. |
Is campus transfer possible after joining the B.Tech. programme in anyone of the JEC campuses? |
No, there is no provision for campus transfer. |
What is faculty student ratio for the engineering programmes? |
As per AICTE Norm the faculty student ratio is 1:20. In our college, we fulfill this requirement. |
Where should I attend the counseling for B.Tech admission? |
You can attend the counseling in campus at your convenience and opt any branch according to the availability of seat at the time of your counseling. |
At the time of counseling, is the presence of candidate compulsory? |
Yes, it is preferred, although it is not compulsory, the candidate along with his parent or guardian should be present at the counseling desk. |
At the time of counseling, is it enough if I produce Photostat copies of my certificates? |
Sorry. Original certificates are to be produced. These certificates are to be returned after verification and confirmation of admission from affiliating bodies of the government say Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan / Rajasthan Technical University, Kota |
If I do not receive call letter in time to attend the counseling, what can I do? |
The date of application, rules and criteria, rank list and counseling schedule will be published by Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) in the website www.reap2020.com. However, the direct admitted students’ welfare will be looked after by the JEC |
In 10+2 / XII class exam my average marks for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is above 60% but in Physics the score is less than 55%. Can I attend the counseling? |
Yes, You should get 45% at least but preference is given to those candidates whose scores are high i.e. each together with 60% or more aggregate in these three subjects Physics, Mathematics and third subject (any one subject either in Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology or Biotechnology. |
After admission, if one wants to withdraw from the programme, what about the refund of fees? |
Refund will be given as per the regulations of the JEC` Usually processing charges are deducted and rest amount is being refunded subject to intimation in writing well in advance. The process of refund normally being done after admission process is over. |
What happens if the internet connectivity fails during the payment process? |
If the payment is done online, you will get the application number and acknowledgement. In case of double payments, College will refund the extra amount paid or adjust in the fee. |
How can I avail scholarship from the college? |
The scholarship, based on merit obtained in the ASET Scholarship test, is given only to limited students. The details may be downloaded from the same site www.asetmax.com by entering the email id and date of birth or application Id or mobile number whichever is applicable. For, other types of government scholarships, you will get details and advices of the scholarship processes time to time once admitted through faculty co-ordinators / monitors. |
What is the Branch-wise Cut-Off? |
There is no branch-wise cut-off but admission is done on the merit list prepared by the management for management quota seats. All the candidates can attend the counseling. In such counseling where a candidate has to be physically present, sometimes many top rankers do not turn up. Some others are interested in a particular branch and the moment the seats of that branch are filled up, they leave. If you have a high score you stand a good chance to get a seat. If your rank is lower than that, you can still hope to get a seat. For this purpose you can apply for the waiting list by filling up the form and depositing Rs.11000/- by bank draft or online mode through payment gateway suggested. As and when a seat falls vacant, this will be filled up from the waiting list. |
What is cut-off for entrance exam? |
There is no cut-off. Students will be admitted on merit starting with the highest marks. |
When is the merit list going to be displayed? |
It will be displayed after the declaration of result and receipt of applications of admission in the institute. |
Are we going to be informed personally about date and time of counseling? |
The date and time of counseling will be informed though Emails, Call letters, advertisements and postings on the website, whichever is convenient. Please refer to the website www.jeckukas.org.in frequently for updating yourself. |
If my score is less should I come for counseling, as I have to travel from a far-off place? |
It is your decision. If you feel you have even a remote chance, you should come. Our counselors will suitably advise you about your chances of getting admission. |
Should I bring all the fees at the time of counseling? |
Yes, you may. However, you may reserve your seat on paying a minimum amount of Rs.11, 000/- which is to be deposited through bank draft drawn in favour of “Jaipur Engineering College ", Kukas Jaipur, payable at Jaipur. The remaining amount of the first Semester fee has to be deposited latest by 30th July. |
If the admission is confirmed on the date of counseling, can we confirm the hostel admission on the same day? How much hostel fee do I have to pay on that day? |
Yes, the hostel accommodation can be confirmed on the same day. You have to deposit Rs.41,000/- through a bank draft drawn in favour of " Jaipur Engineering College", Kukas Jaipur, payable at Jaipur. |
What is the procedure for getting admission through management quota? |
For a seat through Management Quota you have to apply in the prescribed form. Your admissions will be based on the PCM marks of the qualifying exam. Minimum percentage required in PCM is As per AICTE rules *. Is the accommodation available at the time of the counseling? What is the procedure for the same? |
Candidates have to make their own stay arrangements at the time of counseling. We will however upload on the website details of accommodation available in nearby hotels etc. |

Is there any fees For the Placement Activity? |
There is no fees associated with the Placement Process. |
What is the procedure to schedule a pre--placement talk (PPT)? |
A company will only be allowed to hold its PPT after filling up the job announcement form (JAF). A typical pre- placement talk is scheduled for 60 minutes. Placement office members will get in touch with the company to fix a mutual convenient time for the session. |
What amenities / infrastructure are available for placement process on campus? |
The campus is equipped with communication and computing infrastructure to facilitate smooth placement process. Computing facilities, telecommunication facilities for teleconferencing and video- conferencing, group discussion and seminar rooms can be arranged as per the requirement. |
Is there any facility for the accommodation available on the campus? |
Accommodation can be arranged for the guest. |
What if we can't travel to JEC Jaipur? |
We can arrange for the procedure to be held either on Skype (video conferencing) or telephonically or any suitable mechanism mutually convenient and agreed upon. |

How about the placements? |
|
Our first batch passed out in June 2004. Since then no of student placements are qualitatively and quantitatively growing. Most of the students of the previous batches (about 85% of the eligible students) were placed in various renowned companies like Infosys, L&T, HCL, Airtel, IBM, Cognizant, Tega India, Triveni , Genpact, Omega Elevators, Inopen, Convergy, Tata Consultancy, Microsoft, Wipro, Netgear, BGR Energy, Reliance Communication, Hindustan Zinc, Tata Power, IOCL, HPCL,Intel, ONGC, BSNL, SAIL, JVVNL, Raymond, JSPL, Maruti Udyog, Toyota, Tata Hitachi, Eicher, TIL, Cisco, Cybage, Mahindra and Mahindra, Persistent, Kirloskar Brothers, Synechron, Mu Sigma, Forbes Marshal, Thermo fisher, Sokrati, Bosch, Steria, Pubmatic, Atos, Syntel, Marathon Electric, Symantec, ACT TV, CRF Global, LG TV, Milton Plastics and many others. Last three year pass out batches of 2016, 2017 and 2018 placements were similar. Nearly 60 renowned companies conducted campus interviews. For 2018-19 final year batch placements are in progress. We have highly competent and experienced faculty. Many faculty members have joined us after completing their PhD or fellowship from renowned institutes from different states throughout India and so on. What is the syllabus of the scholarship entrance test for engineering in the college? |

CBSE plus 1 and plus 2 syllabus. This entrance test is conducted normally during November to March every year. |

|
No, we do not have loan facility. However, necessary guidance for availing loan from banks are given at the central admission cell. |

What is the difference of taking admission in AICTE approved College and Private University? |
|
In terms of recognition or chances to get a job there is no difference between AICTE approved College and Private University. But private universities run different courses and admit any number of students in a particular class but in the same time they do not recruit adequate faculties and improve with sufficient infrastructure. This results in poor teaching learning process i.e. effects the quality of learning. |

Are there extra charges for Industrial Visit, National Tour? |
|
Yes, Extra charges are taken from the students it is not included in the fee. |

Is there any Uniform for the students? |
|
Yes, College uniform is there for the students at a specific cost which is excluded from the fee. |

Yes, Summer Training is arranged by the college or the students can arrange it by themselves. |

Yes, there is a daily schedule for PDP session after classes for the students and there will be communication skill classes 1 month prior to the session starts. |

However, we do not give assurance to bring companies in the campus as it depends on the nature and extent of requirement of the industries. it will be your potential how to grab the opportunity. Our training and placement department, motivates, gives necessary inputs like personality development means and ways, job market trends and over and above what qualities companies are looking for, takes care of each and every students based on their interests and skills they attained. |

Students are provided with good quality food in the mess (hygiene tested). The Canteen facility is also available in the vicinity, where with periodic check hygienic food is ensured. |

Student clubs are there to harness the various talents and interests of the students. Center for Dramatics & Fine Arts is there to promote dramatics. Various workshops are conducted regularly and mentored by faculty who are nationally renowned and acclaimed. Techno- Management & Cultural Fest is organized by the students every year. The campus contains all facilities like National level Sports Complex, Badminton Club, Tennis court, Basketball, Football, Cricket field, Open Air Theatre, etc., State-of-the-art Auditorium & IT enabled classrooms, labs and library. |

Do you have any feedback system? |
|
We have adopted the mentoring system for students. Every faculty member has been assigned the responsibility of a batch of students. Usually a batch comprises of 15 to 20 students. The faculty member looks after every welfare measures to be taken for the well being of every student and takes preventive measures. Moreover, periodical reviews are conducted by the HOD of the department and there after the matter is discussed with the management in the HOD’s meeting every last Wednesday of the month. Every month feedback of the students as well as about the faculty is taken by the management. |

Is there any Guest house available for the parents? |
|
No, guest house facility is not available for the parents. In emergency situation we can arrange accommodation for one night. |
