About Department:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at JEC Group has, over the years, grown into a full-fledged department offering undergraduate / Post Graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. It has so far graduated more than 1000+ Mechanical Engineers who are contributing significantly to the development and running of various public and private organizations in India and abroad in the fields of academics, research, and social sector.

The department has got the facilities to conduct basic and applied research. The software like ANSYS, SOLID–Edge and AUTOCAD etc are available to carry out analytical studies. Eight members of the faculty are engaged in research, indicating the scientific temper that exists in the department. Department of Mechanical Engineering is a recognized Centre of ISTE / AICTE funded projects & are in progress with the latest state-of-the-art equipments / instruments. The Centre caters to the needs of students by organizing various latest techniques of Mechanical Engineering. The department has MOU’s with some of the leading industries to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate project works, Internship for Students.

About CIPET:

Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) was established in 1968 by Government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of the institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency. During the initial project period between 1968 and 1973, the institute achieved the targets envisaged and was rated as one of the most successful UNDP projects implemented worldwide. Today CIPET is a premier national institution under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India fully devoted to Skill Development, Technology Support Services, Academic and Research (STAR) in all the domains of plastics viz:- Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Plastics processing, Testing and Quality Assurance. CIPET operates from various locations spread across the country catering the needs of Polymer and allied industries.

About Workshop:

This Workshop Program is organized by Jaipur Engineering College, Kukas, Jaipur and hosted by Central Institute Of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Jaipur. The main objective of the workshop is “To enhance practical knowledge about programming and working of CNC Machines”. This workshop program will provide a good opportunity of learning about newer machining methods and programming on CNCs

The main aims of workshop are:

• To provide exposure to modern CNCs and its applications in Industries: CNC milling, CNC lathe, CNC wires cut EDM, EDM.
• To provide opportunities for discussion and information sharing platform for academician, researcher scholars and engineering students.

Theme of Workshop:

At present time the competition in manufacturing industries is very high. Industries moving towards complete automation, in which CNC machines play important role in manufacturing. Today the use of CNCs in industries creates many jobs like CNC programmer, etc. The theme of workshop is to provide a practical knowledge about CNC part programming and working of CNC milling, CNC lathe, CNC wire cut EDM, EDM etc.
